From a Great horned Owl in my care. His stunning beauty and peace filled me with sorrow as I knew his injuries from a car strike would prove fatal. He left behind this lovely memento before being transported to the Wildlife Vet in Barnstable. Rest in peace beautiful bird.

Hedwig is a Barred Owl who lived at the South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell, MA for 12 years. She was hit by a car and blinded in one eye as an owlet.
